Lean Ground Beef
12 Slices of Bread of your choice (Used Sara Lee Whole Wheat- Low Calorie Bread)
12oz 96/4 Lean Ground Beef
60g Fresh Avocado
42g Light Shredded Mozzarella
Egg Whites for Egg Wash
1. Take 12 slices of bread and slice off the crust with a pizza cutter. Take a rolling pin and roll out the slices as flat as possible. Repeat for all 12 slices. Add the slices of bread onto a food scale to see what the new weight of the bread is without the crust. This changes the macros. Take the total weight and divide by 12 to see how much each slice needs to be tracked.
2. Preheat stove top pan to 7/10 heat. Season the ground beef with sea salt and garlic powder. Add ground beef to stove top pan and break up into small pieces with a spatula. Cook until satisfied with the color of the beef.
3. Once ground beef is done, lay one of the slices of bread down and lightly brush egg whites around the outside edges. In the middle of the slices of bread, add the ground beef, avocado and cheese. Make sure there aren’t any pieces sticking up because when the top slice is added you don’t want to have it poke a hole in it. Add another slice on top and then press down the edges to seal the pop tart.
4. Brush a little bit more egg whites on the edges and on top of the pop tart. Then crimp shut with a fork. Add to air fryer on 400 degrees for 3-4 minutes. While that’s cooking, repeat this process with all 6. Then enjoy!
